Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026 · Applies to riders and drivers in Canada, beginning with St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

The short version: Texti AI Mobility Inc. runs on WhatsApp, so we collect only what a ride actually needs — who you are, where you're going, and how you pay. We never sell your personal information, we keep driver documents locked behind restricted access, and you can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete what we hold about you.

1. Who we are

Texti AI Mobility Inc. ("we", "us") provides a ride-hailing service through WhatsApp that connects riders with independent drivers. Our first market is St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Texti AI Mobility Inc., the Newfoundland and Labrador corporation operating Texti, is responsible for personal information under its control and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

4. Who sees your information

Cross-border processing: some of our service providers (including Stripe, VoPay, Google, Meta, and OpenAI) store or process data in Canada, the United States, or other countries. While there, information is subject to those jurisdictions' laws. We use contractual safeguards with providers and share the minimum necessary.

5. How long we keep it

6. How we protect it

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA.

7. Your choices and rights

To exercise any of these rights, message "support" in the company WhatsApp chat or write to our registered office. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Texti AI Mobility Inc. accounts are for adults: riders must be of age of majority in their province (19 in Newfoundland and Labrador) and drivers must be at least 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; minors may ride only when accompanied by an adult account holder.

9. Automated processing

Texti AI Mobility Inc. uses automated systems to match riders with nearby drivers, estimate fares (including transparent surge multipliers), and read the documents drivers submit.

Driver identity verification: with a driver's consent, the profile photo submitted during onboarding may be compared against the photo on their driver's licence to confirm the account belongs to the licence holder, and checked against existing accounts to prevent duplicates. This comparison may involve automated image analysis of facial features. Photos are used only for verification and safety — never for advertising — and results only assist our team.

A human always makes the final decision on driver applications, and you can contest any outcome through support.

10. Complaints

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your privacy concern, contact our Privacy Office first through the company WhatsApp chat or registered office. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376).

11. Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we'll notify you on WhatsApp and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Texti AI Mobility Inc. after notice means you accept the updated policy.
